Anton Wallace "Wally" Stencil March 26, 1935 – August 21, 2025

Anton "Wally" Stencil, age 90, of Edgar, Wisconsin, passed away on August 21, 2025.

He was born in Marinesco, Michigan, on March 26, 1935, to Anton and Rose (Urmanski) Stencil. Around 1940, the family moved to the Town of Wien, where he was raised with six brothers and two sisters on the family farm.

On June 29, 1957, Wally married Arlene Knoll at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford. Together, they had five children. Wally was a dairy farmer and worked at Marathon Electric until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, playing sheepshead, and spending time at the cabin.

He is survived by his sons Dale, Brian (Sue), and Kevin (Patti) Stencil; grandchildren Melissa (Michael) Janke, Eric Stencil, and Jacob Stencil; and great-grandson Owen Janke; brother Duane. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; son, Alan; and daughter, Tammy; siblings Joseph, John, Florence Myszka, George, Lawrence , Adeline Boser and Ervin Stencil.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at St. John's Catholic Church in Edgar. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
