August "Augie" Paul
Wolff
Aug 26, 1974 — Sep 13, 2026
Neillsville, WI
August “Augie” Wolff, age 52, was born on August 26, 1974, to Howard and Shirley () Wolff. He passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center-Marshfield.
Augie spent more than 30 years working as an over-the-road truck driver. He took pride in his work and in the many miles he traveled throughout the years. Outside of work, some of his favorite miles were the ones he shared with his wife, Sallie. Augie married his best friend, Sallie Ann Dunning, on March 17, 2001. Together, they enjoyed taking road trips and simply getting out on the open road. One of their favorite destinations was Superior, Wisconsin, where they enjoyed making memories together.
Those who knew Augie will remember him as a big guy with an even bigger heart. He had a gentle and caring nature and loved deeply, especially when it came to his wife, Sallie, friends, family and his “kids.” His dogs were not simply pets—they were his fur children and held a very special place in his heart. Snoopy, Georgie, Aria, Lucy, Violet, and Gracie were among his greatest loves and brought him endless companionship and joy.
Augie is survived by his loving wife, Sallie; his mother, Shirley; his siblings, Sarah, Ethel, Sandy, Norman (Diane), Theresa, Barbara, Peter, and Lorraine; and his beloved fur children, Snoopy, Georgie, Aria, Lucy, Violet, and Gracie. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Jen and Debbie (Steve); special nephew, Jadyn; as well as many nieces, nephews, many special friends, and others who were fortunate to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Wolff. Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruby and John; and his brother-in-law, Dale. Also, many spoiled fur babies that have gone before.
Per Augie’s wishes, he will be cremated. No services will be held.
Sallie would like to extend her heartfelt gratitude to the Neillsville First Responders and the Marshfield Medical Center Critical Care ICU team for the care, compassion, and kindness they showed Augie during this difficult time.
Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family. Words of remembrance may be shared at MWCS.WS
