Austin Newcomb December 11, 1933 – December 16, 2025

Austin Newcomb, a kind and gentle man with a deep love for music, family, and the outdoors, passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born on December 11, 1933, in Waupaca County, Austin was the son of Clyde and Evelyn (Smithback) Newcomb. He graduated from Shawano High School and later attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, studying electrical engineering. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying the values of dedication and integrity throughout his life.

Austin worked as an electrical engineer and was the owner and operator of Newcomb Electric and Heating. He also ran his own woodworking business, combining skill, creativity, and craftsmanship. Known for his tireless work ethic, he continued working full time until just weeks before his passing.

A lifelong music lover, Austin played in numerous bands and shared his passion for music with everyone around him. He also enjoyed fly fishing and cherished the peace and beauty of the outdoors.

On May 19, 1984, he married the love of his life, Constance Newcomb, in Antigo, Wisconsin. He treasured family gatherings and the time spent with loved ones.

Austin was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in many capacities throughout his life. Known for his warm sense of humor, gentle nature, and kindness, he touched the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Thomas Newcomb (Janell), David Newcomb, Robert Newcomb; stepchildren, Susan Glodoski (Timothy), Donald Zeinert (Carla), Sally Zeinert, Joel Zeinert (Amy), and Jeffrey Zeinert; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Mary Simonds, Clyde (Bebe) Newcomb Jr., and Ronald Newcomb. He was preceded in death by his siblings Marel (Bud) Newcomb, Morton Newcomb, and James Newcomb.

Austin's legacy lives on through the music he played, the craftsmanship he shared, the kindness he showed, and the love he gave to all who knew him.
