Bryan William Bethke, 72, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at his home.
He was born September 22, 1948 in Wausau, son of the late Bernard A. Sr. and Goldine (Hanson) Bethke.
He graduated from Wausau High School, class of 1967 and attended Northcentral Technical Institute for business accounting. He worked for several companies during his lifetime including but not limited to Oak Bay Shoe Corporation at Winkelman's Department Store location, Wausau, H. C. Prange Co. Department Store, Wausau and Wausau Paper Mills, Brokaw.
Bryan loved telling stories and reminiscing with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in nature. Bryan will be dearly missed by his family and good friends, Rudy and Brian.
Survivors include his two daughters, Bryana (Jody) Vandenberg, Oconomowoc and Dana (Michael) Bjerke and two grandchildren; brother, Robert Bethke, Osseo; five sisters, Lois Kittel, Marathon City, Carol (Jerry) Fish, Minoqua, Elaine (Chet) Scheibel, Georgetown, TX, Marlene (David) Sell, McFarland, Virginia Bethke, Weston; several nieces and nephews; former spouse, Kathlyne Bethke, Wausau.
Besides his parents, Bryan was preceded in death by brother Bernard A. Bethke, Jr.
John J. Buettgen Funeral Home/Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society, 948 Grand Avenue, Schofield is assisting the family. No services will be held. Private family gathering to be determined in the future.
