Obituary

Carol Lynn Kriel, 72, passed away to her Heavenly home on December 22, 2021. She became very ill after receiving her Covid booster and later died at Aspirus Wausau Hospital of Covid complications. She was born on March 25, 1949, in Beloit, to the late Leo and Eva Kriel. She attended DC Everest High School. From two marriages, she had three sons, which she raised mostly on her own. She worked as security guard at SNE Enterprises and later worked, for many years, as a caregiver with Opportunity Inc. God gave her the gift of patience, she cared for the most difficult and hard to handle clients. She always had a smile on her face and was always laughing. She had a vibrant spirit, was fun to be around and had a heart of gold. She enjoyed Bingo, making jewelry, knitting, playing cards, cooking and spending time with friends and family. She was proceeded in death by her brother Leon Kriel, brother-in-law Orville Gritzmacher and nephew Todd Gritzmacher. She leaves behind one sister Jean Gritzmacher. Three sons- Brian (Linda) Richey, Keith Richey and JJ (Kim) Manowski. Four grandsons- Derek (Alicia Bryant) Schubring. Devon, Eyan and Jake Manowski and 2 great granddaughters Layla and Martie Schubring. One nephew Tim Gritzmacher and her beloved dog- Little Miss Pickles. A celebration of life will be held at Good News Church in Mosinee, WI on Saturday January 29, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10 am until the time of service at Noon. Pastor Jay O'Connor to officiate.
