Catherine Anne Staples (Rossow) passed away peacefully at The House of Doves in Marshfield WI February 7th, 2025. She was 79 years old.

Catherine was born in Marshfield WI on July 16, 1954. She grew up on a 51-acre farm in Owen WI and then moved to Wisconsin Rapids where she met James Staples. They together were married for 22 years. She helped raise three of his six children, as well as her daughter before separating later.

Catherine loved gardening, was a fantastic chef, canning her beautiful garden veggies and spending time with her dogs, especially Meagen. In her final years she loved creating diamond dot pictures and it was in her later years she met the love of her life, Henry Kettler.

Catherine is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Martha Rossow (Hertzog), her father Charles William Rossow, sister Debra Anne Rossow, brother Robert James Rossow, husband James Rossow Staples and Henry Mark Kettler, her longtime partner.

She is survived by two brothers: Charles William Rossow of Nekoosa WI, Donald Henry Rossow of Gilkay California, sister Mary Anne Yung (Rossow) of Vancouver Washington, one daughter Jennifer Lynn Meeker (Rossow) of Hillsboro Oregon, granddaughter Cheyenne Cierra Maria Rossow, also of Hillsboro Oregon, stepson David Russell Staples of Racine Wisconsin, niece Jessica Mckinster of Portland Oregon and many more nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in Mosinee, Saturday February 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Hog Creek.
