In loving memory of Chad Klante
Chad Klante, born on April 22, 1980, in Wausau, WI. Graduate of Mosinee High School. He passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Chad was the beloved son of Jeff Klante and Alice Duranceau. He was a cherished husband to Catherine Edwards and a devoted father to Edward Klante, Megan Brandt (Devon), Emily Edwards and Trevett Edwards, Travis Wraggs a special friend he also called his son. His heart was further filled with joy by his five grandchildren Sophia, Ella, Clara Brandt and Everrah and Everson Edwards. Chad also leaves behind his siblings. Dawn (Tom) Miller, Renee Dillinger, Wade (Trescha) Klante, Justin Duranceau, Jim Kayler, Sirrena Airis, Micheal Kayler, Michele Barber and all his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The list could go on and on.
Chad's life was renowned for his boundless generosity and his unwavering commitment to putting others before himself. To him the word "no" simply did not exist. His family and friends will fondly remember him for his large heart and the warmth he brought to every gathering, always embracing the philosophy of "the more the merrier."
He was proceeded in death by both sets of grandparents, his stepfather Lenny Duranceau, stepbrothers Dean Dillinger, Jonathon Duranceau, Robert Kayler, and his dear uncle Jim Lovell. While his passing leaves a void, Chad's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday September 11, 2026, at Riverside Park from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Service will begin at 4:00 pm with dinner to follow. Allowing all his family and close friends to honor his memory.
In lieu of flowers a monetary donation would be appreciated for medical and funeral expenses.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU Department of Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the exceptional care they provided. Also, to Noel Pupp, NP.
Chad will be deeply missed but will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, kindness and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him.
