Cheryl A. Barrett (Weege) age 55, of Merrill, passed away Saturday, October 16 at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 6, 1966, to the late James L. and Janet L (Harris) Barrett in Elgin, IL. Cheryl grew up in the Tomahawk area and attended Tomahawk school. Cheryl moved to Merrill where she worked at Fox Point Sportswear and then on to Wausau Insurance and later retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Cheryl was a loving mother to Tim Tresness who loved playing games and spending time with family and friends. She liked motorcycles even though she was afraid to ride them. She enjoyed boating, camping, and playing with her beloved dog, Sophie. Cheryl is survived by her son: Tim Tresness (Jessica Rice), granddaughters: Alexia, Kendall, and Samara, brother: Craig Barrett, Stepdaughter: Stephanie (Josh) Rodencal, Niece: Heather (Jeff) Nelson, and former spouse Randy Weege. She was proceeded in death by her parents James and Janet Barrett, brother: John Barrett and nephew: Jay Barrett. Per Cheryl's request, there will be no services at this time. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Mid-Wisconsin cremation society of Schofield is assisting the family with arrangements.
