Dale Zimick, 78, of Mosinee passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2017 surrounded by his family after a brave battle with cancer.  He was born to Benjamin and Pearl (Walter) Zimick on Jan. 16, 1939.  He is survived by his son Dale (Peggy) Zimick, Wausau, son Scott (Lori) Zimick, Wausau, daughter Autumn (Rick) Borchardt, Mosinee, Michelle (Leo) Zimick, Mosinee, sister Nadine Hartjes, brother Jerome (Joanie) Zimick, brother Dennis Zimick, sister Marlo (Paul) Stankowski, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife Marion (Thiel) Zimick, brother Darryl Zimick and brother in law Geno Hartjes.Through the years Dale always enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events.  He was a member of the Lion's Club, umpired youth and high school baseball for many years and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and camping.  He looked forward to his morning coffee with all of his friends.Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wausau on Friday Feb. 10th with visitation at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Committal will take place at Restlawn cemetery following the luncheon. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ministry Home Care Hospice Services for the wonderful care they gave to Dale.  John J.
