David Alan Schubring, a beloved father, brother, and uncle, passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 64 in Wausau, Wisconsin. Born on January 31, 1960, at Wausau Memorial Hospital, David spent his life in the community he cherished.

David was a graduate of Wausau East High School in 1978, and Northcentral Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Accounting in 1980. David was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly at the family cottage on Lake Mohawksin in Tomahawk, where he created countless memories with loved ones. Whether fishing, boating, or snowmobiling, David's adventurous spirit was ever-present. Known for his love of poodles and Jeeps, he was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and a touch of daring.

David's adventurous nature was evident from a young age, as he engaged in thrilling activities such as snowmobiling across water, racing his 1969 AMX, and waterskiing on an oar. His passion for excitement was mirrored in his sons, who inherited his love for adrenaline-fueled pursuits. David cherished family snowmobile trips, often using his snow coach to bring his children along, creating lasting memories.

He is survived by his daughter, Jayme, and sons, Coleton and Connor (Kaelyn). He also leaves behind his sister, Karen (John) Koeppen, niece Julie (Paul) Baranek, and niece Amy (David) Lewis; and brothers, John (Nancy) Schneider, nephew John (Lisa) Schneider, niece Rana (Gene) Gunderson, and nephew Moses (Shannon) Schneider; Arthur Schubring, nieces Cassie and Alex Schubring; and Mark (Barb) Schubring, nephews Tyler and Travis Schubring. David was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ardis Schubring.

David's family will forever hold dear the memories they shared and will continue to honor his legacy of love, adventure, and family. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of a public service, a private celebration of life will be held with immediate family. Those wishing to honor David's memory may consider making a donation to St. Paul's United Church of Christ or the Marathon County Humane Society.
