David Earl Sparr, age 85, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family, under the care of Aspirus Hospice and Comfort Care. He was born on September 21, 1940, to the late Blair and Hazel (McAlpine) Sparr.

David was a simple man who found joy in the things that mattered most to him. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, spending time outdoors, and, above all, being with his family. He worked as an operating engineer and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his significant other, Chris Oleinik.; his son, Bryon (Karen) Sparr; and his daughter, Lynn Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Blair and Hazel Sparr; and three brothers, Ken, Harold, and Ray.

Per David's wishes, no services will be held.

Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family with arrangements. Family and friends may visit MWCS.WS to leave words of remembrance and online condolences.

The family wishes to thank Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice services for their compassionate care of David. They would especially like to thank Haley, Carrie, Tanya, and Kristen.
