Dean S. Gille, born on November 29, 1961 (age 64), to Lee and Nancy (Engel) Gille, passed away on February 25, 2026, at Aspirus Howard Young Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, curiosity, and laughter. A man with a brilliant mind and an adventurous spirit, Dean approached life with enthusiasm and ingenuity.

Dean had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing or ice fishing, patiently waiting for the next bite while enjoying the peace of nature. He was a devoted NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt Sr., and rarely missed a chance to watch a race. His passion for adventure extended to gold mining, magnet fishing, HAM radio, and even storm chasing — pursuits that reflected both his love of discovery and his fearless curiosity.

A gifted creator and builder, especially during his career doing autobody repair and custom paint work, Dean's intelligence truly shined through his projects. Among his many accomplishments, he designed and built an underwater drone and even wrote the program to operate it — a testament to his remarkable talent and determination. He loved sharing his creations and enthusiastically explaining how they worked to anyone willing to listen. His excitement was contagious.

Dean also had a special place in his heart for his beloved Huskies. He treasured their companionship and the joy they brought to his life.

Known for his awesome sense of humor and easygoing nature, Dean was always fun to be around. He had a way of making people laugh and feel at ease, leaving lasting impressions on all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Lee and Nancy Gille; his brothers, Kery Gille, Darin (Kati) Gille, and Kris (Billie Jo) Gille; his nephews, Andrew Gille, Justin (Jessica) Gille, Brendan (Morgan) Gille; one great-nephew and two great-nieces. He is further survived by his former wife and her family.

Per Dean's wishes, no services will be held. Family and friends are invited to leave words of remembrance and share memories at MWCS.WS.

Dean will be remembered for his sharp mind, adventurous heart, and the laughter he brought into the lives of others.
