Diane Baird, age 77, passed away peacefully at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on August 26, 2026. She was born on September 26, 1948, to the late Richard and Helen (Crawford) Flynn.

Diane was a talented and creative woman who shared her many gifts with others throughout her life. She was the owner and operator of an art and craft shop in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Later, Diane returned to school and earned her master's degree, going on to establish her own private practice as a counselor.

An amazing artist, Diane, found great joy in pottery and painting. She also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, kayaking, and fishing. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her daughter and grandchildren.

Diane will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Stephanie Baird; her grandchildren, Kira, Rylee, and Thane Masterson; her brother, Duane Flynn; her sister, Patti Johnson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her family will fondly remember her for the chocolates she always seemed to have tucked away in her purse, her love of sharing her food with those she cared about, and, perhaps most of all, her wonderfully stubborn nature.

A Celebration of Diane's Life will be held in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The date, time, and location will be announced at a later time.

Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family.
