Dorothy L. Szutkowski (Dot)

Dorothy passed peacefully at Homme Home of Wittenberg on October 3, 2024. She was born September 24, 1934, to Reuben & Flossie Kerstner of Bowler, WI. She married Edward Szutkowski of Eland in November of 1952. Ed & Dorothy farmed and raised seven children in Eland. After the farm sold, she worked 20+ years at Homme Home.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her seven children, seven grandchildren + great grandchildren. Dorothy attended mass every week, sometimes more, and often volunteered her time for church gatherings. Besides caring for her husband and family, she enjoyed her Ladies Aid group through church, baking and cooking sweet treats (especially for the holidays & birthdays) creating ceramic figurines & decorations, and she crotched countless booties for many infants. She also loved flower gardens in the yard around her home.

The family is planning a Service & Celebration of Life at a later date. They will reach out to family & friends with details. In lieu of flowers they suggest donations to Hospice or your favorite charity.
