Duane "Wiener" Kruzitski age 69 of Phillips WI, died unexpectedly Monday, March 10, 2025.

Duane was born April 1, 1955, in Portage County, the proud son of the late Joseph and Anita (Somers) Kruzitski.

A beloved brother, friend and all-around larger-than-life character. Wiener brought laughter, kindness, and a little bit of mischief wherever he went.

At an early age Wiener loved local stock car racing and started helping local racers and then working for Albert Getzloff changing racing tires. This led to going to work for Trickle Racing for several years. He then moved to Oak Creek WI, working for Barricade Flasher. He met many new friends, including his best friend Jimmy, his daughter Laurel and son Joey Lampman.

Wiener finally found love on January 1, 2000 with his forever friend of 25 years Judy Sopa. Later they operated Custer Pit Stop. Wiener was passionate about his Harley Road King; he made it possible to sponsor and "lead the pack" for "Wiener's Cancer Run" every Memorial Day in honor of his mother Anita.

He was an avid sports fan, especially golfing with his buddies at Hidden Waters. Cherished time fishing (especially with his Uncle Gaffer and Kyle Dombrowski). He was also enjoyed snowmobiling (helping establish the "Big Boy Kitty Cat Series"), four wheeling, and was an excellent pool player.

Whether it was his legendary storytelling, his unwavering loyalty to those he loved most of all he loved kids, spending time with all his nieces and nephews during extracurricular sporting events and activities.

Duane J. is survived by his "special friend" Judy Sopa with her son Ryan Sopa (Waupaca), sister Kathy (Patrick) Scott (Plover), Jane (Robert) Enkers (Weston), Douglas (Jennifer) Kruzitski (Stevens Point), and Mariette (Scott) Booth (Hancock). Godchildren Noah Kruzitski and Laurel Lampman. As well as nephews Ryan Scott, Jared Enkers, Daylan Enkers, Shaun Kruzitski, Noah Kruzitski and nieces Karissa (Eddie) Scott-Sankey, Katlyn Enkers, Kristin Kruzitski, Lindsay Kruzitski and Allie Booth. Along with seven great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Hidden Waters Golf Course, located at E4480 WI 22-54 in Waupaca. Family and friends are invited to share stories and raise a glass to honor the "simple man" who made life a little more interesting for all of us.
