Frank R. Wesely III, 89, of Plover, WI, passed away peacefully at home on July 7, 2025.

Born on December 8, 1935, in Illinois to Frank R. Wesely Jr. and Matilda (Stranski) Wesely, Frank lived a life of adventure, hard work, and love.

He was a kind- hearted man and friend whose warmth, wit, and big hugs will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Frank's first marriage to Patricia (Smith) Hendren ended in divorce.

He married Francis Carlson June 19th, 1972, in Nashua, Iowa at the little brown church in the Vale. Together they lived and worked in Tomah,WI before finally settling in Plover,WI. While living in Plover, Frank attended Divine Lutheran Church where he met Jesus as his Savior. He was not very expressive about sharing his faith but always said he didn't know how he would get through life without the Lord.

Frank's journey through life was one of dedication and service. He worked for 45 years on the railroad, starting in various roles before ultimately becoming a crane operator with the wrecking crew, helping clear accidents on the Soo-Line, Chicago Northwestern, and Green Bay railroads. His work ethic was matched only by his curiosity and zest for life.

Frank's passions were wide-ranging, and they brought him joy and connection with others. He was an avid golfer, traveling to many out-of-state courses in search of the perfect swing. After retiring from the railroad, Frank found new joy in collecting railroad memorabilia, attending trade shows, and setting up his own booth to share his finds. He also tapped into his tech-savvy side, opening an in-home computer repair business where he earned a reputation for fixing anything that came his way. If he couldn't solve a problem, he knew just who to call.

Frank's sense of humor, often delivered with a twinkle in his eye and a quick-witted remark, made him a joy to be around. He was a man of mystery, always keeping friends and family on their toes with a surprise or a story no one saw coming. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the many lives he touched with his quiet personality and big-hearted nature.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, an infant daughter and stepson. He is survived by his five children: Angela Wesely-Burns (Sam), Frank R. Wesely IV, Scott Wesely (Teresa), Dawn DeGroot (Doug), and Tina Freeberg (Doug), as well as his stepchildren: David Carlson (Kathy), Penny Wilhite (Mike), and Debbie Kubisiak (Bud). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A service will be held to honor Frank's memory on Thursday, August 14th at 10am at the Divine Lutheran church in Plover WI.

Frank's memory will live on in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed.
