Georgana J. Cruse, age 71, of Willard WI. formerly of Beloit/Janesville, passed away on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, at Rennes Health and Rehab Center, in Weston WI.

Georgana Jean (Maresch) Cruse was born on March 14th, 1953, at Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit WI, the daughter of Bruce R and Ruth A (Hovland) Maresch. She received her education in the Beloit area, graduating from Beloit Memorial High School.

She was united in marriage to Richard D Cruse on February 12, 1972. Georgana worked for Head Start in Janesville WI for many years as a student aid. She later moved to Willard to care for her aging parents and lived there until moving to Rennes Health and Rehab in December of 2024.

Georgana enjoyed crafts, reading, swimming, going to church, traveling, and spending as much time as possible with her family.

Georgana was a member of St. Paul's Church in Thorp WI for many years and taught Sunday School with the help of 2 of her granddaughters for a short time.

She is survived by her former husband Richard D Cruse, 2 sons, Derek (Melissa) Cruse, and Jerod M Cruse, her daughter Deanna (Cruse) Steube, her sister Carol Baer, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Georgana was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Darryl R Maresch, and her brother-in-law Daniel Baer.

A celebration of life will be held for her on March 15, 2025, at the Rod and Gun Club at N8561 Hay Creek Rd, Willard, WI 54493 between 12pm and 5pm.
