Gerald S. "Jerry" Jacobson, age 91, passed away peacefully at his residence in Wausau, WI on March 12, 2026. Jerry was born in Chicago, IL on May 3, 1934 and grew up in the city's North Center neighborhood near his beloved Riverview Park amusement park. Jerry worked as a truck driver for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for many years.

In his younger days, Jerry was an avid roller skater and could often be found at the old Elm Roller Rink in Elmhurst. He was lifelong Bears fan and fisherman. Most especially, Jerry loved the open road and taking the long way.

He met the love of his life, Lois, while working the check-in desk at a Parents Without Partners dance at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn. They were married at St. Mark's in 1979, after which Jerry became a longtime member of the church and served on its vestry. Over the years, he volunteered for many organizations including the Boy Scouts, the West Suburban Humane Society, and the Glenbard West music boosters.

He was preceded in death by Lois, his son Michael Jacobson, and brother John Jacobson. He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Christiansen (Marty); stepson Scott Williams; stepdaughters Laura Pozzi (Gary) and Lisa B. Williams (Brian); grandchildren Kayla, Andrew (Reagan), Tate, and Marlowe; great grandchildren Peyton and Frankie; nephew Alan Jacobson; and sister-in-law Sally Tribble (Don).
