Janet L. Ziesman, age 91, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026. She was born on March 5, 1935, to the late William and Margaret (Davidson) Knueppel.

Janet was a hardworking woman who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially working outdoors and tending to her gardens. She took great pride in growing her own produce and, for many years, brought the fruits of her labor to the local farmers market to sell. She continued doing so well into her 80s. The farmers’ market became more than just a place to sell her garden produce—it was a place where Janet met many wonderful people, made new friends, and enjoyed listening to their stories. She treasured those connections and the community that grew around her.

When she wasn't tending to her gardens, Janet enjoyed listening to live bands, spending time at the casinos, and playing bingo. She had an appreciation for good company, good stories, and opportunities to get out and enjoy life.

Janet will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lucy, Tammy, John, Reasa, Chester, and Melinda; 29 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson Carter and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand; her siblings; her infant daughter, Christina; and her son, Edward.

Janet leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the many people whose lives she touched through her kindness, hard work, friendship, and genuine interest in others. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
