It is with a heavy heart to announce that Janice Marie Adams (née Marzynski), born on June 20, 1959, in Wausau, WI, passed away unexpectantly on June 12, 2025.

Janice graduated from Wausau West High School in 1977 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County before graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1980 with a BA in English Literature.

Her career included positions as a librarian in Appleton, WI; Center, TX; Westland College in Fresno, CA; Carver County, MN, and Marathon County, WI.

On September 10, 1983, Janice married her husband of 41 years, Jeffrey Adams, and had two lovely children, Jessica and Nathan. A lover of all living things, Janice would even have empathy for the bait you'd put on your hook while fishing. She believed in seeing the good in people. She enjoyed kayaking, rides on the pontoon, and was a lifelong bookworm. Janice cherished her coworkers in MN and WI and had a special bond with her best friend, "Kimbo" in CA. She was completely devoted to her grandson, Landon, and was excited about the arrival of a new grandchild that is on the way.

Janice relished playing games with family, whether board games or phone games, and loved chatting with her family and friends over the phone.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Marzynski; sister, Lynda Marzynski; and brother, Peter Marzynski.

She is survived by her mother, Anita Marzynski; sister, Kathleen Marzynski; and brother, Paul Marzynski. Janice is also survived by her husband, Jeffrey McRae Adams; her daughter, Jessica Lynda Fischer (husband, Nicholas David Fischer, and grandson, Landon David Fischer) of Columbia, MO; and her son, Nathan McRae Adams of Hastings, MN.

A Celebration of Life for Janice will be held on Wednesday, July 9th, at Lisa's at Lakeside, located at 214857 County Road Y, Hatley, Pike Lake, WI, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Casual attire is encouraged.
