Obituary

Jason Robert Meuret was called to Heaven to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 18th, 2024 at the age of 57.

Jason was born on December 3rd,1966 in Wausau, Wisconsin to Gerald "Jiggs" and JoAnn Meuret.

He is survived by his parents, Jiggs and Jo Meuret; his sister Kim (Jason) Baumann, her son Anthony "Tony" Johnson (wife Ashley, their children JoAnna Mae, Wyatt and Owen Johnson), and Kim's grandson, Skyler Sitzburger; his sister Leslei Dickerson (husband Joshua and their children Ransom and Leila); two local loving aunts, with whom he had a special bond and spoke to and visited frequently - Joyce "Auntie Burpy" and Auntie Shirl - along with more aunts and uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his niece, Amber Johnson, and his grandparents.

Jason attended Rothschild Elementary School and D.C. Everest Junior and Senior Highs. He also attended North Central Technical Institute.

Throughout his lifetime, Jason worked in a variety of occupations, including in the automotive and manufactured home industries; he also spent time as an independent drywaller, a pool installer, a lift operator at Granite Peak, a general laborer, and a service-provider at a local grocery store.

Jason enjoyed spending time outdoors. Growing up he enjoyed hunting with his dad, uncles, and family friends. Jason loved to fish for whatever was biting and appreciated his peaceful time along the local lakes and rivers, where he also enjoyed watching the local water ski shows. He went for walks every day and struck up conversations with neighbors who were outside. Recently his newfound freedom was with his electric bike: Jason put on thousands of miles and thoroughly loved spending time outdoors exploring the local area on the roads and trails.

Jason Robert Meuret was a kind soul with a good heart who always meant well. His life was cut short due to his ongoing struggle with alcohol addiction.

There will be a private family celebration of his life announced at a later date. Jason will be buried at Peace Lutheran Church in Baldwin, Wisconsin, where his maternal great-great grandparents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles are also laid to rest. He will rest in peace near his Grandma Josephine "Jo" Hanson, whom he held dearly in his heart.

Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting family at this time. Online condolences may be expressed at MWCS.WS
