Jessie L. Lehr, 68, of Antigo, WI, passed away after a brief illness on July 21, 2026, 30 years to the day after her father passed away.

Jessie was born in Duluth-Superior to Guy and Helen (Eckberg) Lehr. While her family moved around the country much of Jessie's early childhood, they eventually returned to Superior and stayed in the area. She graduated from Superior High School in 1976 and focused on raising her children before continuing her education. In 1993 she would go on to graduate from UW-Stevens Point, earning a degree in psychology and education. Jessie later pursued a Masters in Education and graduated from Viterbo University in 2002. She spent 15 years of her teaching career as a special education teacher for the Adams-Friendship Area School District.

Jessie was a life partner, mother, grandmother, and, most recently, great-grandmother. She loved to play with her grandchildren. She sometimes had a green thumb, mostly when it came to irises. Jessie enjoyed any opportunity to use her wit and smarts - whether through a game of scrabble, trivial pursuit, or playing along with jeopardy at home. She had a love for nature and animals, especially her dogs and birds. Her German chocolate cake (without coconut frosting, because gross) was regularly requested by her children for their birthdays, and her cream of potato soup and lasagna were both legendary. Pieces of what made her whole can be found in those who loved her and were loved by her.

Jessie is survived by her life partner of almost 50 years, Jim Osowski; sons Chris (Kaity) Lehr Okray and Casey Thompson; daughter Jenna (Eric) Boyd; grandchildren Adrian, Gabriel, Jaden, and Aleka Okray, Josh, Alex, and Miles Boyd, and Noah Thompson; and great grandchild, Isa Okray. She is also survived by siblings Jody Lehr, Barbara Lehr (Stephen), Gail Lehr, Shawn (Debbie) Lehr, Linda (Gary) Heikkinen, Sharon (John) Rose, Mary Flora, Wayne (Terri) Lehr, and several nieces and nephews.

Jessie was predeceased by her parents Guy and Helen Lehr, Jim's parents, Clarence and Lorraine Osowski, and siblings Jim Lehr, Sandra Strohman, Margaret Risner, and Sherry Swanson.

According to Jessie's wishes, her ashes will be scattered near her parent's final resting place at their family farm on a future date. There will be a celebration of life at Michele's in Stevens Point on August 29th, 2026, beginning at 11:30 a.m. and concluding by 2:30 p.m.
