Obituary

Joanne M. Favro, 89 passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Sunday February 27, 2022. Joanne was born on April 14 1932 in Superior WI to Benjamin and Margaret Herman. Joanne was the eldest of 8 children. Joanne was married to Francis Favro for 23 years. The couple had 4 children. In 1954 Joanne and her family moved to Neenah where she worked at Food Queen grocery store for 17 years. In 1984 Joanne moved to central Wisconsin where she owned the Arnott Café. From there, Joanne managed the cafeteria at Del Monte foods in Plover WI. Joanne enjoyed traveling to Florida for the last 40 years where she shared a home with her lifelong sweetie, James Allen. Joannes' greatest joys in life were cooking, shopping and BINGO. She loved traveling with her two daughters and having family come visit her in Florida. She found great joy in shopping for new cars and showcasing her new luggage as she traveled back and forth from Wisconsin to Florida. She was a simple lady that had extraordinary taste for life and would add witty charm to every conversation. Joanne's home was always filled with the voices of friends or family, and she never missed happy hour or a good game of cribbage. She will be truly missed for the laughter she brought to everyone she touched. Joanne is survived by two brothers, James Herman Crivitz WI. And Jerry (Lois) Herman Racine WI. She is further survived by her four children; Linda Dean (Thomas Kranig) Amherst WI., Peggy Favro Boca Raton FL., Danny Favro MN. And John Favro WI. Joanne had 9 grandchildren; Roxanne (Christopher) Frye, Amy (John) Wojcik, Jesse Favro, Wesley (Dania) Marinan, Megan (Jason) Hintz, John Ross Favro, Andrea Favro, Nicole Favro, Nichole Dean. Joanne had 16 great grandchildren. Joanne is preceded in death by her beloved partner of 40 years, James Allen as well as her infant twin sister, two brothers and 2 sisters. A mass will be held for Joanne on Thursday 3/10/2022 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary's Mount Carmel Church 3995 County Rd K. Amherst WI. Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting family at this time.
