John Behrens, age 60, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021 at his home in Rothschild, WI, from a long, hard battle with cancer. John was born October 31, 1960 in Wausau, WI, son of Richard and Mary Lou Behrens. He graduated from Wausau West Highschool, class of 1979. In his life, he thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors and participating in activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, Bucks, and Kansas City Chiefs. John also loved to support his daughters in their sporting events and activities. He was a dark craft beer connoisseur, and enjoyed discovering and trying new labels. John worked at Greenheck Fan Co. as a welder for 25 years, and prior to that, worked at 29 Super Market for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Pamela (Kauk) Behrens; daughters Taylor and Megan Behrens; father Richard Behrens; siblings Kathleen (Todd) Hampton, Michael (Polly) Behrens, Daniel (Theresa) Behrens; brothers-in-law Brian Treu and Dennis Kauk; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Behrens, and sister, Deborah Treu. Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Life will be organized at a later date when it is safe to gather. A special thank you to his wife and daughter (Pamela and Taylor), his primary caregivers, and Aspirus Hospice that made it possible for him to stay comfortable at home.
