Kathy S. Grosskreutz, 65, Wausau, passed away December 12, 2022 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born March 19, 1957 in Wausau, daughter of the late Lloyd and Elizabeth (Frank) Rainville.

Kathy fought a long, hard battle of cancer for 4+ years with family by her side. Despite how she felt she would still put others before herself, and knew how to make everyone smile.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and would bring them little treats and surprises whenever she was able too. She also loved to make big pots of soup with her family.

Survivors include, Burt Grosskreutz and daughters Lisa and Laura Grosskreutz, Wausau, siblings, Kay Rainville, Wausau, Karen (Dan Grosskreutz) Rainville, Wausau, LaRae (Dave) Jelmeland, Weston, Lynn (Wally) Flees, Hatley, Ronald Rainville, Wausau, one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Rainville, Wausau, Grandchildren, Kyla Grosskreutz, Kaylana Yang, Sierra (Adam) Macomber, Michael Yang, Tyriana Holmes, Kaiden Tahiro, 7 great grandchildren, all of Wausau; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Shelly Grosskreutz, two brothers, Keith and Gary Rainville, an infant brother Lloyd; and one nephew Scott Rainville.

We will be honoring her wish of having a graveyard service and celebration of life with close family and friends at a later date.
