Kelly Gene Elmer, 58, of Wausau passed away on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022 surrounded by his family and under the care of the House of the Dove Hospice.
He was born November 11, 1963 in Wausau to the late Leonard Elmer and Lorraine (Rottscheit) Elmer. After graduating from Wausau West High School in 1982(?), In addition to Wausau, he lived in Anchorage, Alaska and Corvallis, Oregon. He worked for several local businesses in the Wausau area, most recently at the Neighbor's Place.
He enjoyed spending time with his family above all else. He was enamored with the beauty of the natural world and held an astounding appreciation of music. A kind and gentle soul; he will be missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered in the way the sky looks and how fire sounds. He is survived by his brothers David, of Mercer, and Danny (Wen-Chi), of Eden, NC; his sisters Kathy (Michael) Switlick, Viki (Greg) Simmons, Donna (Gerry) Witt, and Darla Porter, all of Wausau; son Dane Wudel, of Wausau and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the House of the Dove Hospice. The family would like to thank the House of the Dove Hospice for all of the care and support provided to Kelly and his family.
