Kenneth "Ken" Gerard Wojtalewicz age 70 passed away from severe complications of covid at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Ken was born to Edwin and Loretta (Woyak) Wojtalewicz on June 12th 1951, he was the second of 3 children, siblings Edwin (Diane) and Louise (David/Richard). He grew up in Milwaukee before moving to Stevens Point. He married Lorraine Klopatek on April 16, 1972. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this April.
Ken was a stubborn, rough around the edges, driven man who had a big heart and was willing to help anyone in need. There wasn't much that he hadn't accomplished once he set him mind to it. Ken never figured out what he wanted to be when he grew up and loved to try new things. He had multiple jobs and careers including his own plaster and drywall business. His favorite job was Karl's Transport which he was employed for 10 years (2008-2018) where he received the 1m Driver Safety Award, something that he took great pride in. He was employed at Badgerland Concrete prior to his death.
Ken had many interests which included coin collecting, attending auctions/flea markets, playing pool, fishing/camping, time with his family, picking on his wife and socializing at his favorite restaurant of South Point in Stevens Point.
Ken's family was his pride and joy. He was blessed with three children Kristie (Montgomery), Kelly (Nathan) and Kyle. He loved spending time with his grandchildren Tegan, Colin, Zoey, & Sabre and his great grandchild Oliver.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Loretta, his brother-in-law David and his nephew Clayton.
The Family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Covid ICU for the exceptional care they gave to Ken. The family would also like to thank the ER staff at Aspirus Hospital Stevens Point for taking exceptional care of Ken while he waited for a bed to open in Wausau.
