Lavonne Gajewski passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on August 12, 2025, at the age of 77.

She was born on September 6th, 1947, to Lillian and Alex Gajewski in Wausau, WI. She was never married, and she lived her entire life in Central Wisconsin.

Lavonne was a Master Trainer for Wausau Insurance Company, later Liberty Mutual. She worked there for over forty years. She traveled across the United States and touched many lives. She had many friends at Wausau Insurance who she met for monthly luncheons.

Lavonne was a master at embroidery and plastic canvas stitchery; a master gardener and she created outdoor light displays that brought joy to the neighborhood. She loved flowers, baking and landscaping. She loved mystery movies, slapstick comedies and had a keen mind for puzzles.

She was like a mother to her niece, and a treasured member of the LeBlanc family.

She was survived by her beloved sister Colleen LeBlanc. She is survived by her brother Donald Detert, and her niece Jamie LeBlanc.

Services will be held at a later date to celebrate her memory.
