Obituary

Margaret "Marge" Germaine Schreiner, 95, of Wausau passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025. She was born May 5, 1929, in Athens Wisconsin to Leo and Henrietta Diers. Marge lived a life marked by unwavering love, dedication, and strength.

Marge met her beloved husband Frank Schreiner at a young age marrying him in 1947. Together they built a loving family, and Marge devoted herself to raising their children. After Frank's death in 1981 Marge embarked on a successful career at Mosinee Credit Union, progressing from bank teller to loan assistant and further into different accounting and finance roles. She later worked for the Peformimg Arts Foundation. She had a lifelong commitment to personal growth, pursuing and attaining her GED in her 50's.

Marge enjoyed reading, sewing, and quiet time. She loved a good card game with her daughters. She made every Birthday and Holiday special.

Marge is survived by her daughters, Jean Matushak, Carol (Drew) Buehler, and Nancy (Bob) Robinson. Daughter in-laws Monica Schreiner and Barb Campbell. Grandchildren, Paul (Mary) Matuskak and Patrick (Angel)  Matushak, Amber Schreiner, Kate (Dave) Drewek, Craig Buehler, Evan (Christina) Schreiner, Emily (Cory) Anderson, Eva (David) Burgess and 10 Great Grandchildren. Sisters Loraine Wieland and Virginia Plumb.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband Frank Schreiner and sons Michael and Charles and son-in-law Tom Matushak. Her grandsons Steven, Shawn, and baby Andrew. Her siblings Jeanette, Elroy, Sylvester, Norman, and Vernon.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her dedication to her family, her warm hospitality and her kind heart.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Aspirus Hospice House for the compassionate care provided during Marge's final days.

A 'Celebration of Life' will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau Wisconsin on Thursday April 3rd. Visitation will be at 11:00 with a service at 12:00, followed by a luncheon.
