Mark John Engel, 70 of Merrill passed away on June 16, 2023. He was born to the late Einar and Rose (Wolff) Engel on August 19, 1952.

He worked at JW Perry for over 40 years. He was an avid Nascar fan attending many races over the years. He loved his Milwaukee Brewers, and Green Bay Packers. He longed to get back out on the golf course and of course, hunting was his favorite past time.

He is once again reunited with the love of his life Debbie Bornfleth.

He is survived by daughter Angie (Dale) Lemke, grandchildren Melaina and Gavin, Debbie's children Jesse (Michelle) Bornfleth, Carmen (Shawn) Phillips and grandchildren Shelby and Skylar, his siblings Ted (Patti) Williams, Elmer (Deb) Engel, Linda (Gary) Kalenske, Debra Engel, Rodney (Lori) Engel, sister-in-law Barb Williams.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Bob Williams and the love of his life, Debbie Bornfleth.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Rock Island Resort in Merrill.
