Michael L. Pickard, age 64, of Merrill, WI, was reunited with the love of his life, Suzann Joy Pickard, on December 31, 2021 when he passed surrounded by several of his children while at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Edgar and Kathryn (Stushek) Pickard welcomed Michael into the world on September 10, 1957 in Ladysmith, WI. Mike attended high school in Tomahawk, WI, and worked at Lincoln Wood in Merrill, WI where he met Suzy. They wed on May 7, 1999. Mike was a lover at heart and enjoyed many activities that allowed him to spend quality time with his family including fishing, boating, and watching the Green Bay Packers. In his retirement, he spent most of his time caring for his 3 precious chihuahuas and his Sun Conure. He also loved watching the Eve of Destruction races, walks in Riverside Park, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mike was an amazing cook and was always happy to share his cuisine and a Miller Lite with his friends and family. Mike is survived by his siblings, Debbie, Brenda, Matt, and Joe and his children Aaron Pickard of Merrill, WI; Monica Pickard (Pat) of Wausau, WI; Josh Pickard of Merrill, WI; Melissa Westberg (Zack) of Wausau, WI; Robert Espeseth of Wausau, WI as well as 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzann Pickard; brothers, Mark and David Pickard; sister, JoAnn Pickard; father, Edgar Pickard; and mother, Kathryn Pickard. Mike's children would like to thank Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the loving, compassionate care offered to their father. The family will be hosting a celebration of life at a later date.
