Nancy A Gouza (1934-2024)

Age 90 of Weston, WI passed away on Friday, Dec 6th at her home under the care of Interim Hospice and her loving family.

Per Nancy's wishes a funeral mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Weston on December 21st @ 11 am, with Father Jerome Patric officiating.

Nancy was born on August 20th, 1934, in Wausau to Edward and Martha Goyette. She was raised there and attended Wausau High School. She Married Edwin B Urban on September 11, 1954. They had 3 children and later divorced. On November 7th, 1975, she was united in marriage to Thomas H Gouza in Wausau. He survives her.

Nancy held a number of jobs, but her favorite was working as the program director and bowling instructor at Brunswick Mt. Lanes in Wausau. Nancy also enjoyed volunteering and living for 20 years in Ocala, Florida but then returned to Wisconsin her home. She belonged to St. Anns in Wausau and was a charter member of St. Matthews Church in Wausau.

Nancy did not believe in sitting still for very long. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, baking, cooking and canning. Her pies were loved near and far. When she did sit still, she was usually crocheting an afghan for someone, many pairs of mittens and booties. These were all given away with love. Nancy also loved to play games of all sorts. Penny ante Poker, Sequence, Smear, Sheepshead. Volleyball, horseshoes, and softball were also favorite pastimes as well as her beloved bowling. But beware if you took her on, prepare to lose because she loved to WIN! She also enjoyed Dancing and was a very good square dancer for many years. She and Tom also enjoyed travel and took many trips including Cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband Tom, Her daughter Debra (Gerald) Okrzesik, Weston, Son Craig Urban, Chuluota, FL, Daughter Coreen (Don) Wendorf, Merrill, Stepson Scott (Jessica) Gouza,, Athens, Stepdaughter Michele (Mike) O'Donnell, Rosholt,

Her Grandsons Jesse (Fua) Okrzesik, Wausau, Tyler Okrzesik, Milwaukee, Chase (Michelle) Gollubske,Shawano, Jacob Gouza, Merrill, and Jonathon Gouza, Wausau, Mike (Megin) O'Donnell, Plover, Keegan O'Donnell, Rosholt, Granddaughters, Amber (Bob) Miller, Florida, Casey Urban, Florida, and Harmony Gollubske, Chicago, IL., Megan O'Donnell, Oshkosh, Brianna O'Donnell, Sheboygan Falls, Amelia O'Donnell, Medford. 14 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Martha Goyette, her brother Edward (Patty)Goyette Jr. Her sister Mary (Ronald) Berna, sister Arlene Goyette, Daughter in law Marie Urban.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Amy Sweet and Interim Hospice for their care of Nancy in her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Interim Hospice or a charity of your choice in Nancy's Name.
