Mosinee – Nikki Rose Swedowski (Steffen), 39, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, August 16, 2021. Nikki was born on November 27, 1981 as the daughter of Patti Jo Swedowski (Cegielski). At the age of 2, Nikki was legally adopted by Robert (Bob) Swedowski, Patti's husband. Nikki attended school in Mosinee School District's Class of 2000. Ever since she was little, Nikki was always surrounded by her pets that she adorned so much. She took pride in replicating family favorite meals and making crafts at home. In 2014, Nikki met Nicholas Steffen. The two were engaged in 2017 and in 2020, Nikki and Nicholas tied the knot. Nikki is survived by her significant other, Nicholas H. Steffen (Mosinee), her parents Bob Swedowski and Patti Jo Swedowski, her Grandparents Edwin (Ed) Swedowski, Camille (Kim) Swedowski, and Sally Cegielski, her siblings Matthew (and Sarah) Swedowski, Alex (and Haley) Swedowski, and Mitchell Swedowski (Nikki's Biological son -- adopted by his Grandparents Bob and Patti), Nicholas's parents August Steffen and Janet Steffen, and various extended family members and friends. She is predeceased by her grandfather, Walter Cegielski. The family will be hosting a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers or contributions, you may donate to a charity of your choice in her name.
