Phillip Allen Love, age 82, of Wausau, WI, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Phillip was born July 14, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of the late Roy A. Love and Mildred (Remaley) Love. He also was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Ann Love.

Phillip grew up in Palos Heights, Illinois. He met Joyce Jeske and they married November 14, 1964. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968, and was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country.

During their 60 years of marriage, they had two daughters; Brenda (Ronnie) and Amy (Bart); as well as four grandchildren; Benjamin, Isaac, Hunter, and Tanner. His world revolved around his family.

Phil enjoyed working for United Parcel Service for over 30 years. He retired from UPS in 2004. He also had a family ginseng farm in Summit Lake, Wisconsin, for 10 years.

He loved Nascar races and attended many races in person with family and friends. He also enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, getting together with family and friends, his annual trips with family and friends to Ludington, Michigan, fixing things, and meticulously caring for his lawn and property. He was always there to help others and considered his neighbors very close friends. He enjoyed his life in the same home for 52 years.

Phil was diagnosed with cancer in March 2012. He had been battling cancer that metastasized to many places since that initial diagnosis. During those years, he also developed dementia, so his life was very different as his memories faded away. His family cherished each day with him, though, and felt blessed to have him as long as we did. His love, spirit, and determination were still there. We are grateful for the immunotherapy that gave him these years with us. Thank you, Dr. Leon, for all you have done throughout these years.

You will be missed and thought about every day. The memories are precious to all of us. It was a privilege caring for you, like you did for all of us over the years. You were a loved son, brother, husband, dad, Papa, uncle, friend, and veteran. You fought hard and never gave up. Your unending, optimistic attitude is so admired and will be remembered. Rest in Peace now. You will be loved and missed forever!

Per Phil's wishes, there will not be a memorial service.
