Obituary

January 20, 1950 – January 15, 2022 (age 71) Raymond Charles White, age 71, passed away peacefully in his home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services with his wife and children by his side. He had a long battle with small cell lung cancer. Raymond married Harriett "Janie" White on March 1, 1985, the "most beautiful woman in his life", soulmates from the beginning, Raymond and Janie lived and loved together for 40 years. Raymond joined the Air Force after he graduated high school. He spent 11 years with the Air Force (Reserves) and was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Master Sergeant. In 1976 he was hired by Marathon County Sherriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff. He spent 28 years in law enforcement, finally retiring as a Detective in Sensitive Crimes. Raymond had experience in almost all professions, but he was an officer through and through. In his private life he taught us what unconditional love was. He enjoyed his time with his children, and grandchildren through the years, always with his beloved wife by his side. To know Ray was to know love and laughter, fiercely protective of his family, he would always help those in need, whether he was in or out of uniform. He was a wonderful Father and Husband and will be missed dearly. Survivors include his wife, Janie, his three children, Amy Jo White, Adam White and Terry White. Grandchildren Shelby White and Logan White. He was expecting his first great grandchildren from Shelby White, who within days, will give birth to twins. He is also survived by his older siblings, Larry White, Pearl Wolf, and Susan Tessmer. Celebration of Life to be held in the spring with military honors.
