Richard Glenn White passed away on Sunday, September 20 at the age of 88. A funeral service will be held at Brookridge Church in Plover on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11am. Visitation from 9-11 at the church. Pastor Brian Richard will officiate. A private burial will follow at McDill Cemetery.

Dick was born on May 28, 1938, to parents Glenn and Ramona White, and was raised in Stevens Point, WI. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1956. Dick married Marjory Plummer on September 5, 1959, and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage together. Dick worked for many years as a sales representative and food broker for Sales Coordinators.

Dick was a talented basketball player and was a starting forward on the P.J. Jacobs basketball team. He continued his love for sports coaching and playing on some very successful City League softball and basketball teams. He was an instrumental leader of the Plover Softball Association and over the years won many local and state awards and trophies.

Dick enjoyed traveling with his family on many weekend getaways. One of their favorite trips was to Sault Ste. Marie, MI where he really enjoyed seeing the big ships move through the locks. Later, Dick and his family enjoyed a memorable vacation to Clearwater, Florida, which also included a trip to Disney World.

In their retired years, Dick and Marge enjoyed traveling around the country to places like New England, Myrtle Beach, and Florida and Dodgers Spring Training; while also taking several trips to visit kids and grandkids in Ohio, California, and Arizona.

Dick loved and took great pride in his grandkids and was always at their games and events whenever possible, enthusiastically supporting them. He believed in Jesus Christ as His Savior and Lord and was involved with Marge at Highlands Church in Plover and later at Brookridge Church also in Plover.

Dick is survived by his wife Marge, son Glenn (Sara) White, daughter Sharon Slaven, son Roger (Rona) White, and daughter Gayle White; as well as seven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his dad, Glenn and his mom, Ramona.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice and Northridge Assisted Living for their wonderful care of Dick in his final days.
