Robert Lee Ramsey, 58, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on July 7, 2026, just two days before his 59th birthday.

Robert was a true free spirit who marched to the beat of his own drum. He lived life on his own terms, embracing each day with an adventurous heart and an appreciation for the simple things that brought him joy. He had a gift for making those around him feel important and valued, and his genuine nature left a lasting impression on the many friends whose lives he touched.

If Robert wasn't spending time with his beloved dog, he could most often be found out on the water in his boat. Fishing was one of his greatest passions, and there were few places he felt more at peace than on the lake with a fishing pole in hand. He also cherished spending time with friends, sharing stories, laughter, and making memories. He believed life was meant to be enjoyed, and he encouraged others to do the same.

Robert is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kay Koehler; his mother, Diane VanLanen; his father, Orval Ramsey; and his sister, Krystle Drees. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert VanLanen; his brother, Ronald Ramsey; and his maternal grandparents, Edwin and Irene Holmes and paternal grandparents, Orval and Jennette Ramsey.

In accordance with Robert's wishes, no formal services will be held. His family sincerely appreciates the kindness, thoughts, prayers, and condolences extended during this difficult time.
