Rodney John
Mohr
Feb 16, 1961 — Dec 5, 2025
Rodney John Mohr, age 64, of Marathon, Wisconsin, passed away on December 5th at home with his wife and daughters at his side.
Rodney was born in Marathon to Marvin and Vivian (Klinger) Mohr and spent his life rooted in the community that shaped him. He dedicated over 30 years of his career to Lange Machine and Tool (Merrill, WI), where he worked as a machinist. Rodney was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in providing a full and meaningful life for those he loved.
Rodney lived by the saying, "Gotta keep going or get out and push," a phrase that perfectly captured how he approached life. He was hardworking, determined, and always willing to put in the effort—values he passed on to his family through both words and example.
Above all else, Rodney was a devoted family man. He was deeply involved in the lives of his seven grandchildren and took great joy in supporting them, including coaching their sports and cheering them on every step of the way. He made meaningful connections with everyone he met and leaves behind a legacy of dedication, perseverance, and love.
Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian (Klinger) Mohr. He is survived by his father, Marvin (Barbara) Mohr; his wife, Helen (Vetter) Mohr; his daughters Montana (Cody) Salyers, Desirae (Marcus) Arneson, and Lena Mohr; his grandchildren Gwendolyn, Abram, Thea, Caleb, Nathan, Cora, and Wesley; and his two brothers, Barry (Wendy) Mohr, and Douglas Mohr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 10th at Memories Ballroom. The receiving line will begin at 10am to Noon followed by a service from 12-12:30. Luncheon and reception will follow the service. Rodney will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
