Sally Rose Mateski Goodman, age 67, passed away suddenly at her home on January 11th, 2022. Sally was born in the Stanley area on March 1st, 1954 daughter to the late Harry Mateski and Virginia Fasbender. Sally grew up with twelve siblings on the farm. She loved farming, gardening, singing, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Sally married Clayton John Goodman, of Cadott, in 1972. Shortly after, they bought a farm south of Stanley in early summer of 1972. They had seven wonderful children together. Sally enjoyed the farm life and baking fresh bread and sweets with her children.
Sally is survived by her children Betty Fitzl of Chippewa Falls, Kevin (Michelle) Goodman of Thorp, Connie Goodman of Cadott, Jetta (Jason) Mcallister of Hawthorne Florida, Timothy Goodman of Boyd, Jessica Goodman of Chippewa Falls, her former husband Clayton Goodman of Stanley, thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, as well as by her siblings Susan (Gary) Ducommun, Marie Mateski, Duane Mateski, Jan Mateski, Bill (Dawn) Mateski all of Stanley, Linda (Larry) Goodman of Mondovi, Jerome (Karen) Mateski of Sheldon, Dan Mateski of Boyd, Gary (Lisa) Mateski of Chippewa Falls. Preceded in death by her parents Harry Mateski (1997), Virginia Viola Fasbender (2021), sister Sandy Fugate Daniels, sister Christine Hall, brother Pat Mateski, and daughter Jennifer Rose Goodman.
Family and friends are all welcome to come and celebrate Sally's life at the Thorp Legion Hall in Thorp, WI on January 23rd at 2pm followed by a dinner at 4pm.
