Sharlene Ruth Stanley was called home to heaven May 3rd, 2025.

Sharlene "Shar" was born in Racine, Wisconsin, February 19th, 1949, to Phillip and Lois Schneider. She fell in love and married Thomas Anthony Stanley Sr. on July 9th, 1966. Sharlene attended Kenosha Technical College in 1972 becoming an LPN. She later attended the University of Platteville in 1992, earning her Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, and becoming social worker for Wood County. She and Tom also provided Treatment Foster Care and respite for more than 100 teenage young men in their home.

Shar was a social butterfly, cheerful, and kind. She led a resilient life and became a friend to all she met. She enjoyed traveling, reading novels, swimming, tending her flowers, feeding the birds and squirrels, and sitting outside, taking in the beauty of nature.

Sharlene is survived by two sisters, Carol Klamik and Gail Beaver; sisters-in-laws; brother-in-laws; and five children: Thomas Jr. (Terry) Stanley, Kathleen (Kurt) Richardson, Sharlene "Charlie" (Randy) Fisher, Brian (Mandy) Stanley, Matthew (Shelley) Stanley, and Ryan who was thought of as a son for most of his years, lovingly devoted to Tom and Shar's needs. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

The family sends a very special thank you to Cranberry Court Assisted Living and Edenbrook Nursing Home, in WI Rapids for the loving care they provided their mother/grandmother/sister.

A private burial service will be held for both Tom and Shar at Union Cemetery in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
