Sheila Kay (Doyle) Stoddart, 86, of Weston, WI passed away on November 5, 2024, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, WI.
Sheila was born in Fond du Lac, WI to the late Frederick and Catherine (Deutsch) Doyle on July 6, 1938. Sheila attended and graduated from Grafton High School in Grafton, WI, and Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. On January 7, 1961, she married the love of her life and her best friend, Thomas William Stoddart. They were married at Saint Francis Cabrini Church in West Bend, WI and were blessed with 57 years of marriage. Tom and Sheila had three children, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Sheila was an elementary school teacher at both Saint Francis Cabrini School in West Bend, WI for 13 years, and at Corpus Christi School in Sturgeon Bay, WI for 14 years. She was then a substitute teacher in the Sturgeon Bay School District for 15 years. Sheila enjoyed reading, embroidery, crocheting, art, crafts, baking, and traveling. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Sheila is survived by her three children: Jim of Jordan, MN, Lisa of Sequim, WA, and Patrice (Todd) Pierce of Rothschild, WI; three grandchildren: Nathan (Randi) Heinold, Elizabeth Heinold, and Sarah Stoddart; two great-grandchildren: Ari Heinold and Freya Heinold; brother David Doyle; her good friend and neighbor Tom Jessup; as well as other relatives and friends.
Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Tom (2018); her parents; her infant son Joseph; and her brother Fred Jerome (Jerry) Doyle (2021).
Sheila's life will be celebrated with a funeral service at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Rothschild, WI at 11:00am on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ben Herdrich of Surgical Associates, and the caregivers at Aspirus Cardiac ICU for their compassion and wonderful care.
