Tammy Lynn Rector, age 53, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 under the Palliative Care at Aspirus Wausau.

She was born on January 12, 1971 at Kenosha Memorial Hospital to Larry Meeks and Barbara (Boyd) Meeks.

Growing up, Tammy was best friends with her sisters Linda Converse and Brenda Meeks, Her lifelong fishing buddy and best friend, Robert Rector. She was a tomboy, a straight A student. She enjoyed playing sports with her cousins in the backyards, playing teacher. Growing up with her siblings, she was always the brightest and was always making friends.

On August 26, 1998, Tammy married William Wayne Rector in Wausau.

She attended White Lake High School.

She was a great household engineer, and excellent cook, a skilled gardener and canner (a hobby she loved with her family). She was an accomplished fisherman (Her and her best friends' hobby) and a general outdoorsman, an artist and caregiver.

Tammy held a variety of positions in Kenosha, Waukegan, IL.

She lived in White Lake, Birnamwood and Antigo.

Tammy's priorities were taking care of her family and being there for each and everyone of them including the children she took in and loved.

Tammy is survived, siblings, Brenda (Scott) Meeks, Antigo, WI; Linda (Andrew) Converse of Birnamwood. She is also survived by her children, Barbara (Jordin) Devine, Nicole Rector, Brittany (Mara) Rector and Jo (Timmie) Rector. She is also survived by Christopher Lanier, Tammy (Ryan) McComber, A.J. Converse and Geryl, Pat and Ricky Rector.

She was preceded in death by her husband William and her parents Barbara Boyd and Larry Meeks.
