Theodore "Teddy" Hallas Jr.

June 12, 1949 – December 4, 2025

Theodore Hallas Jr., age 76, of Mosinee, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Our House Memory Care in Wausau under the care of devoted staff and Heartland Hospice.

Theodore was born on June 12, 1949, in Wausau to the late Theodore Sr. and A. Josephine (Tomczak) Hallas. On June 24, 1972, he was united in marriage to JoEllen Bork.

He was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He worked at the Mosinee Paper Mill for over 30 years in various positions, retiring as Head Fireman in the Boiler Room. He was an avid Packers fan who enjoyed cutting wood, fishing, woodworking, and getting together with good friends, Jerry and Linda. What he valued most was spending time with his four grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, JoEllen; daughters Amy Hallas of Oconomowoc and Sheila Hallas of Mosinee; four grandchildren, Dylan and Ryan Kegley, Tanner and Hailee Mackoway, all of Mosinee; two brothers, Sidney Hallas and Ken Hallas, both of Mosinee; two sisters, Debbie Gorski and Audrey Hallas, both of Mosinee; many nieces and nephews; and a close family friend, Debi Hallas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dennis; and his sisters, Linda Horak, Sharon, Diane, Doreen, and Mary.

The family extends their appreciation to the staff of Our House Memory Care and Heartland Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. A special "thank you" to C.B. of Our House for respectfully honoring Teddy with a "Final Salute".
