Wanda Jean (Haynes) Hinker

It is with deep sadness and loving hearts that we announce the passing of Wanda Jean Haynes, 67, of Tigerton, WI. Wanda passed away on 10/08/26 surrounded by loving family members. Wanda was born on 08/01/59 in Wausau, WI to her loving mother Mary Haynes.

Wanda moved through life to the beat of her own drum. A free spirit with the heart of a hippie. She believed in kindness, connection, and finding a little magic in ordinary days. She loved deeply, laughed freely, and made room for people to be exactly who they were. Family was the center of Wanda's life, particularly her beloved grandkids Aiden & Scarlett. She had a passion for baking and cooking, especially during family gatherings. She loved Harley rides and music festivals that soothed her soul such as Jack Pine Jamboree and Rock Fest. She adored being with family and lifelong friends reminiscing on the “Good Ol’ Days”. If Wanda wasn’t in tie-die or colorfully coordinated; her people might just worry! She was molded in confidence, and incredibly strong willed.

Her life ended far too soon, leaving a loss that words can’t quite hold. But her spirit remains in the memories we have, the food we share, the songs we hear, and the open-hearted choices she inspired. We will miss her dearly and remember her always—with love, gratitude, and a little of her wild wonderful spirit in our hearts.

She leaves behind her 2 sons, 5 grandchildren, 5 sisters, 2 brothers and their spouses, and a host of cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary and lifetime love “Baldy” and her beloved pups Rocky and Zander.

A memorial service to celebrate Wanda Haynes' life will be held on November 14th, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Chellis St. Pub, located at 265 Chellis St, Wausau, WI 54401.
