Cremation Pricing
Complete cremation is from the time of initial contact to the return of your loved ones cremated remains.
We do offer Cremation Tribute Packs for families who wish to have a memorial service either before or after the cremation has taken place, which includes memorial folders, a register book, and service either here at the funeral home or at a church of choice. It also includes for us to assist the families with burial after cremation if the family chooses.
The services listed below are all of the services currently offered by Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society. Keep in mind that this is only a guideline for services and that special requests can be honored. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Packaged Services

FTC FUNERAL RULE DISCLOSURE
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide for our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our Basic Services of Funeral Director, Staff, and Overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
DIRECT CREMATION

Includes: Basic services of staff, transfer of remains, sheltering, cremation, alternative cremation container, temporary container for remains, obituary placed on our website
Does Not Include: Embalming, visitation, ceremony, urn, permit from county of death.
DIRECT CREMATION WITH MEMORIAL SERVICE
Price: $4595.00
Includes: Everything in Direct Cremation + memorial service (body not present), staff and facility for service, memorial package.
Does Not Include: Embalming, visitation with body, urn, cash advance items, weekend fees, reception/catering.
VISITATION & FUNERAL WITH RENTAL CASKET (CREMATION TO FOLLOW)
Price: $7700.00
Includes: Basic services, transfer, embalming, visitation, funeral service, rental casket, cremation, temporary container, automobile equipment, memorial package.
Does Not Include: Cemetery/church fees, cash advance items, urn, graveside services, weekend fees
TRADITIONAL FUNERAL WITH BURIAL
Price: $7950.00
Includes: Basic services, transfer, embalming, visitation, funeral service, graveside committal, hearse, service vehicle, memorial folder package.
Does Not Include: Casket, vault, cemetery charges, cash advance items, weekend fees.
TRADITIONAL FUNERAL, MULTIPLE DAY FACILITY USE, BANQUET HALL, USE OF DUMPSTER AND DISPOSAL
Price: $13,500.00
Price: $12,000.00 (if casket and vault are purchased through John J Buettgen Funeral Home)
Includes: Basic Services, transfer, embalming, visitation, funeral services, graveside committal, hearse, service vehicle, traditional dressing of decedent with family members, use of banquet hall, dumpster with disposal, Friday afternoon through Monday afternoon use of facility, kitchen and cooking equipment, banquet equipment, refrigeration of decedent for up to 30 days, printed materials
Does Not Include: Cash advance items, cemetery charges, casket, vault, facility deposit.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED DISCLOSURES
Embalming: Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. It may be necessary only for selected arrangements (e.g., viewing). Direct cremation and immediate burial do not require embalming.
Cash Advance Items: Fees for items purchased from third parties (death certificates, clergy, newspaper notices) are billed at cost; no profit is added.
Basic Services of Staff include arrangement conference, planning, permits, coordination with cemetery/crematory, and overhead costs.
